Go brings low fares to travel agents via Galileo

Go

brings low fares to more travel agents through a new deal with Galileo

, the leading provider of global distribution services.
Go is the only low cost airline to actively work with the travel trade and will offer domestic UK flights, shortly followed by flights to European destinations.

The deal has been welcomed by the travel trade as it enables them to offer Go`s low cost fares to their clients, and book through the same system they use for all other suppliers.

Oliver Wigdahl, head of sales at Go, said: `Our relationship with the trade is very important to us and we are delighted to be able to work more closely with them. Via Galileo, over 44,000 travel agents worldwide will be able to access Go`s low fares, at levels typically around 50% lower than traditional airlines. This means that they can provide a more competitive service for their clients.`

The process for booking Go on Galileo will be the same as other airlines, making it easy and fast for travel agents. Net fares will be accessible in Galileo and a flat £10 tax rate applied to each one way booking to maintain simplicity. Agents are free to add a mark up to the total fare as Go fares do not attract commission. Agents will not have to pay the credit card fee.

`This relationship with Go proves that Galileo has the innovative solutions to work with the low cost airlines. We listened very closely to their requirements and we have provided them with a robust solution which enables them to reach wider distribution channels.` Commented Robin Ranken, Director Airline Sales for Galileo`s EMEA Region.

Galileo will run alongside Go`s dedicated travel agent website, which will continue to offer a £10 discount on every return fare booked (£5 per single journey) and an additional travel agent exclusive discount of 3%.
