Synxis Company Re-organisation

SynXis has promoted three company officers in preparation for further international and domestic growth.
?gIn the past two months, SynXis has added more than 600 hotels to its reservation management ASP solution,?h said James Kelly, chairman, president and CEO of SynXis. ?g These promotions position the company to handle its current explosive growth in the U.S. and in Europe and to prepare for even greater international growth next year.?h


Included in the promotions is Elmer Coppoolse, formerly vice president of worldwide sales and marketing and vice president of Europe. He has been named executive vice president and chief operating officer.


A Dutch native, Coppoolse formerly served in senior capacities in Europe and North Africa with the Sonesta Corporation before coming to the U.S., where he most recently was president and chief operating officer of Lancaster Hotels, which owned and operated the Jefferson Hotel in Washington D.C.


Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Kevin Cheetham takes on the additional responsibilities of chief administrative officer. In this role, he will continue to foster the growth of the company`s infrastructure while assuming oversight of the legal and human resources functions.


Bernard Ellis adds the responsibilities for global sales to his current duties as vice president for product strategy. Ellis previously served as senior account executive, major accounts, for Micros-Fidelio in Beltsville, Maryland. He received his Master`s of Professional Studies in Hospitality Information Systems from Cornell University`s School of Hotel Administration, Ithaca, New York.
