Expedia.com and US Airways Offer an Exclusive 50 Percent Off Reward on Airfares

Grab the sunscreen and beach towel, summer is just around the corner and it’s the perfect time to start booking summer travel. And with an exclusive deal from Expedia, Inc. (NASDAQ: EXPE) and US Airways®, the cost of summer travel just got better.


Expedia.com? (http://www.expedia.com/) customers can now receive 50 percent off a future ticket on US Airways when they book an initial flight between April 13 and May 31, 2000. Nonrefundable roundtrip tickets with a minimum total fare of just $175 qualify for 50 percent off future travel. The special fare offer with US Airways is part of the Expedia.com “Get a Jump on Summer” travel section. The special section is packed with information, resources, and special deals for planning sensational summer trips, and also highlights favorite celebrity destinations. It includes regularly updated resources to help vacation planners save money and discover unique summer destinations around the world.

Customers can earn and receive the 50 percent off reward as many times as they like. Expedia.com will give one reward for each qualifying purchase during the promotional period. The reward is not valid with any other special status fares, promotional fares or with purchases made using the Flight Price Matcher. US Airways Dividend Miles members will receive mileage credit on all qualifying tickets that normally earn mileage.


The initial flight must be booked between April 13 and May 31, 2000. After the first ticket is purchased, customers receive a confirmation that they have received a 50 percent off reward via e-mail within 48 hours. The reward will be stored in the traveler’s personal profile on Expedia.com, which makes it easy to redeem when they’re ready to book again.


The reward can be used between June 16 and August 31, 2000, for travel June 30 through September 30, 2000. Travelers may use the discount to purchase a roundtrip Economy/Coach class ticket through Expedia.com on US Airways and MetroJet by US Airways within the 48 contiguous United States. The ticket must be purchased 14 days in advance of travel and include a Saturday night stay at the destination.
