Half Moon can assist British dreams!

In a recent poll taken by Britainå‘s GQ Magazine, swimming with dolphins topped the list of a hundred things the British would like to do before they die.
Coincidentally, in March 2003, Half Moon Golf, Tennis and Beach Club Resort opened their exciting new on-site attraction: The Dolphin Lagoon, available exclusively for Half Moon’s guests. This attraction gives Half Moon the distinction of being the first hotel in the Caribbean with a dolphin attraction on-site. In a private setting, tucked away on the resort’s 400 acres of land, Half Moon guests may fulfill their dream of meeting, kissing and swimming with Soca and Calypso, the playful and friendly dolphins who have joined the Half Moon family.

Half Moon guests may chose from one of two Dolphin programs: The Beach Encounter and The Dolphin Swim. The Beach Encounter is suitable for children and non-swimmers as the dolphins frolic and play with participants in shallow water. Participants get to meet the dolphins, kiss, touch and play with them, as well as learn about their anatomy and behavioral habits. In the Dolphin Swim, participants also learn educational facts about these unique mammals before getting into the water with them. In the water, participants may get up close and personal with their new aquatic friends and give and receive hugs and kisses. During the half and hour program, the dolphins perform several dazzling tricks while participants swim near by. One of the highlights of the Dolphin Swim comes when the dolphins pull or push the participants around the pool. Both programs require that a paying adult accompany children under eight years old.

With this new attraction added to its already brimming offerings, its no wonder Half Moon calls itself “The Complete Caribbean Resort.” The Dolphin Lagoon joins the resort’s 419 rooms, suites and villas, two spectacular crescent shaped beaches, thirty-six shops, a world-class equestrian centre, a championship Robert Trent Jones, Snr. golf course, the David Leadbetter Golf Academy, 13 tennis and 4 squash courts, 54 swimming pools, complete spa facilities, a fully equipped nautilus gym, 26,000 square feet of meeting, convention and banquet facilities, and over a dozen restaurants and bars.

So as it name implies Half Moon Golf, Tennis and Beach Club has something for everyone. Whether you have come to Jamaica specifically to swim with the dolphins or for a romantic getaway, family holiday, wedding or business convention, Half Moon promises to make you feel “Completely In Your Element” at its “Complete Resort!”
