Puerto Vallarta Set to Host Premier Culinary Event

Mexico`s premier culinary event is back. The Puerto Vallarta Convention & Visitors` Bureau, in partnership with the
organisers of the Puerto Vallarta Gourmet Festival, has announced the
9th annual Puerto Vallarta Gourmet Festival (November 13-23, 2003). The event will once again entice all gastronomic fans as well as fine wine enthusiasts from around the world.

This festival serves to showcase a spicy blend of culinary talents between the
local Mexican chefs and over 20 guest chefs from internationally acclaimed
restaurants and hotels throughout the world. The epicurean fete features gourmet cooking classes, sunset wine tasting at private villas and special gourmet menus available only to Gourmet Festival diners.

Featuring an a la carte gourmet dinner every night, this 11-day event offers
everything from a beach brunch bikini contest to a chef symposium. Guests will
enjoy the Grand Corona Beer Fiesta reception to welcome them and offer fanfare,
live music, dancing and tasting of the best brewery beers - all while mingling
with the finest chefs the world has to offer.

Presenting tastes of more than 500 gourmet foods, cheeses, tequilas and liquors, the Gourmet Expo on Friday, November 14th and Saturday, November 15th is set to tempt the taste buds, and pamper the palate. At La Palapa Restaurant, guests of the Gourmet Festival will hear the sounds of live
music, feast on a gourmet buffet, and slip back champagne or margaritas at the beach brunch and
bikini contest. 
At this event, VIP Cooking Classes are not just for elites. On November 17, 2003 during the luncheon to end all, world famous chefs will
collaborate to offer a selection from the best wineries and restaurants in
instructing guests on the flair and technique required to be a world-renowned
cooking figure.

Following tradition, several chefs will be spotlighted in this year`s various Chef Table and Winemaker Banquets to take place from November 15-19. At Thierry-Blouet Restaurant, the illustrious Master Chef Anton Mosimann of London will present a brilliant evening of culinary art as spectators enjoy not only the presentation, but the impeccable service and selections. Master Chef Florent Benjamin of Switzerland will also wine and dine guests at Coco Tropical Restaurant. At TRIO Restaurant, their very own Master Chef will conclude the
banquet events with a copulation of inventive blends and traditional
consistency.
