Bahamas Prime Minister to Keynote at CTC-25

The new Bahamas Prime Minister, Perry
Christie will deliver the keynote address
at the opening of the 25 th Annual
Caribbean Tourism Conference (CTC-25),
which takes place at Our Lucaya,
Grand Bahama, The Bahamas, from
October 28 to 31, 2002.

Over one thousand delegates are
expected to hear Mr. Christie, who was
sworn in as Prime Minister following
general elections in May 2002, outline
his vision for Bahamas and regional
tourism at this critical time.
“CTC 25 will offer an excellent opportunity for the regional tourism public and private sector authorities
to realistically evaluate the
considerable tourism challenges of
2002 and to seek to chart new
courses for the future,” said Jean
Holder, Secretary General of the
Caribbean Tourism Organization
(CTO).
“We are also looking forward with a
certain level of excitement to
hearing from Prime Minister
Christie, the new directions he will
be setting for a country which has
been a leader in Caribbean tourism
affairs for over 50 years,” he said.
