Viator Forms Partnership With Citysearch

Travel destination products provider Viator has announced a relationship with Online local network Citysearch.
The Citysearch/Viator agreement allows visitors and locals alike to search for sightseeing tours, attractions and events, and then proceed to booking and paying for the activities without ever leaving Citysearch. Users will now be able to access Viator destination activities in nearly 40 featured cities nationwide.

By booking their excursions before their trip, travellers can avoid long lines and sold-out attractions, confirm their itinerary in advance and save precious vacation time. Viator`s comprehensive database of tours, attractions and events highlights the most popular sightseeing attractions.

To search for and purchase tours or other attractions, travellers can click on the “Attractions” and “Hotels & Visitors” links on the Citysearch homepage. Travellers searching for something unique to do in New York City can find and book a “Sopranos Tour” of New York and New Jersey (based on the hit HBO mini-series), while information-seekers heading to San Francisco can locate and book such popular activities as a tour of Alcatraz.

Viator has been steadily building its stable of key consumer partners since its first online relationship was signed with Expedia.com in October of 2000. Since that time, Viator has integrated its destination product database online with several key consumer entities from the travel world, giving partnering content sites the added benefit of extracting revenues while better serving their users. Other Viator partners include travel industry leaders such as Sabre, Worldspan, Galileo, Travelocity.com, Wyndham Hotels and AOL. Earlier this year, Viator also partnered with Citysearch.com.au in Australia.
