Sabre Holdings Corporation (NYSE: TSG), the leading provider of technology, distribution and marketing services for the travel industry, today announced that it has entered a five-year, multi-million dollar agreement with El Al Israel Airlines Ltd. for the implementation of three flight scheduling solutions.
Under terms of the agreement, El Al will use Sabre(R) AirFlite(TM) flight scheduling system, Sabre(R) Airline Profitability Model and Sabre(R) SlotManager(TM) slot managing and tracking system. Each of the tools will potentially help El Al generate significant incremental revenue and reduce operating costs by automating the airline`s flight planning and scheduling operations.
“We are proud to have purchased the most advanced systems from Sabre,” stated Ishay Buch, director of Schedule Planning and Distribution systems for EL AL Israel Airline. “The three systems we have contracted to use will assist us in improving our customer services through more efficient flight scheduling while improving our profitability at the same time.”
