Orbitz Ratings Success

According to Nielsen NatRatings, Orbitz was the fastest-growing Web site for the week ended 10th June, with the number of visitors increasing 382%.
Orbitz, which launched on 4th June after months of testing, sold $4.3 million in travel services in the first two days of operations, and by last week was selling 10,000 airline tickets a day.
According to NetRatings, Orbitz saw 689,000 unique visitors in its first week of operations, compared with 143,000 visitors the previous week, when the site had not yet launched to the public. On average, visitors spent 11.5 minutes on the site.
Orbitz offers a powerful search engine and a collection of Web-only airfares not offered on any other site.
