Blue Chip Vacations Invests Over £1m As Bookings Soar

One of the UK’s fastest growing holiday accommodation companies, Blue Chip Vacations, has today launched a new website. Featuring interactive map searches and Web 2.0 functionality the site has been re-launched with a fresher modern look to reflect the company’s positioning as a luxury lifestyle brand. Last year the company introduced a live chat facility enabling customers to get an real-time response from the Sales team if they had any queries when browsing online, which had an immediate effect on increasing online sales. The new site has added a user-friendly interactive image carousel feature, so that customers can browse inside and out of properties they book, along with more prominent customer comments and reviews to provide more independent views. Plus, video reviews and 360 degree photography have also been enhanced to provide a more interactive experience for customers making their holiday choices.

Neil Simpkin, Sales & Marketing Director, Blue Chip Vacations believes this latest development to be the first of many, “Whilst many sectors are experiencing significant slowdown we have been actively recruiting and planning for further growth. With demand for UK holidays higher than ever we are already seeing record forward bookings for the remainder of 2009 and have been investing substantially in the company’s infrastructure so we can continue to deliver beyond the expectations of our customers.”

Blue Chip Vacations recently reported a 55% increase in bookings for 2009, compared to the same period a year ago. It represents almost 600 handpicked 4 & 5 star properties across Devon, Cornwall and Somerset. Each property chosen for its stunning location, amazing coastal or rural views or hi-spec interior.

The company has increased investment to over £1m in marketing and development in 2009. With an increased spend on advertising, as well as staff and technical and infrastructure developments, Neil Simpkin believes Blue Chip Vacations to be on course for a record year. “The UK is becoming trendy again as it offers affordable luxury, at real value for money prices.
