New spa hotel set for Sicilian welcome

Sicily is set become home to a new hotel with the opening of Belli Spa Resort this Easter in the mediaeval town of Gratteri, near Cefalu.
Belli Spa Resort claims to be a hidden oasis with one foot in and one foot out of the charming mediaeval hill town of Gratteri. It boasts a spa centre, a private garden with a swimming pool and large, heated thermal hydromassage pool, a gourmet restaurant and 14 junior suites and double rooms.

From the chic, boutique luxury of the interiors, staircases lead down to a series of entrances, the front doors of the five once abandoned townhouses that make up the hotel, which open directly onto the cobbled mediaeval streets of Gratteri.

The town is set within the Madonie Mountains National Park, and ideally placed for excursions into some beautiful countryside, hill walking and interesting visits to the mediaeval hilltop towns that populate the area. The beach of Cefalu is about 13km away while those at Lascari are a little closer. Palermo is just over an hour’s drive down the motorway.

All suites are furnished with considerable style, seamlessly combining modern design elements with more traditional, artisanal pieces. All rooms have Satellite TV, mini-bar, air-conditioning, underfloor heating, safe and internet access.
