Youngsters can join SAS program

From this month young travellers under the age of 18 are now eligible to join Scandinavian Airlines’ frequent flyer program, EuroBonus. Like all other members, they can now earn EuroBonus points on flights and use them for bonus trips, hotel nights and other offers.

Previously, EuroBonus was only open to customers aged 18 or over, but with more than one million young travellers flying with SAS every year, SAS wants to reward all its passengers, no matter what age.

“SAS’ Middle East expansion in October of last year was well received by business and tourist travelers alike. In SAS’ first UAE season from end of October 2007 up to end of March 2008, over 64 flights carried more than 25,000 passengers,” said Magnus Engstroem, General Manager UAE, SAS.

“Because most young travellers fly once or twice per year on holiday, or travel more frequently, they would surely benefit from joining EuroBonus. At the same time, with consistent demand from businessmen flying to Copenhagen and beyond with onward connections to other parts of Northern Europe, we can start taking care of our future business travellers,” Engstroem added.

All EuroBonus members from the UAE can earn and redeem points on flights with SAS Group and Star Alliance carriers, as well as hotel and car rental partners.
