Air New Zealand shifts to Heathrow T1

Air New Zealand has confirmed it has shifted its Heathrow Operations from Terminal 3 to Terminal 1. The move comes as part of the Star Alliance strategy to bring all its member airlines under one roof. The move was expected to take place on June 10 but was postponed to till last week to ensure all operations were fully operational, said the airline.

It also added that Terminal 1 will be a much quieter terminal, with 8 million fewer passengers per year by next year (a third less than now). The minimum connection time for both international and domestic flights arriving and departing Terminal 1 will be down to 75 minutes.

The airline has its own dedicated check-in area in Zone R, with five economy and three premium counters, as well as a dedicated ticket desk.
