Northwest inflight mag goes online

Northwest Airlines
has announced its inflight magazine, WorldTraveler, is
now available online, in digital format, at
www.nwaworldtraveler.com/digital.In collaboration with the magazine’s publishing company MSP Custom
Communications, WorldTraveler becomes the first inflight magazine to
make the jump to a true digital format, making it more widely
available the public, beyond its current audience of two million
monthly readers.

The digital magazine includes all the content available in the
conventional magazine and convenient links to NWA’s flight search tool
and destination guides. Readers will now be able to easily search for
content, magnify features for easy reading, and also access past
issues of WorldTraveler.

“Northwest Airlines is leading the industry with trailblazing,
technologically-savvy inflight magazine that is designed with the
customer’s interests and preferences in mind,” said Tammy Lee, vice
president of corporate communications for Northwest Airlines. “The new
digital format gives us the ability to customize offers and target
them to the individual reader, depending on where the customer is
originating from and traveling to. From the advertiser’s perspective,
it is great for targeted marketing. From the customer’s perspective,
they can view the content they want from the convenience of their own
computer.”

Online readers for April’s issue of the digital magazine will have
the opportunity to take a tour of baseball stadiums throughout the
Heartland, peruse the sights of Seattle and get travel and dining tips
prior to their next NWA flight.

As part of the inaugural digital publication, website visitors
also have the chance to enter to win a trip for two to Paris.
