Lufthansa is seeking to hire around 4,300 new staffers in 2008, according to Handelsblatt on Wednesday. The newspaper said a spokesman confirmed the information contained in an article in the Bild Zeitung newspaper.

Most of the hiring will be for new jobs. Bild quoted Chief Executive Wolfgang Mayrhuber as saying that “Lufthansa remains on a growth path.”
