Park Plaza plans Thailand debut

Carlson Hotels Worldwide - Asia Pacific is preparing for the opening of the 95-room Park Plaza Sukhumvit Bangkok in mid-December, 2007. It is the first Park Plaza hotel to open in Thailand and is part of a major expansion of Carlson hotels across Asia.

The Park Plaza Sukhumvit Bangkok is conveniently located, just three minutes’ walk from the BTS skytrain and MRT subway stations at the Asoke-Sukhumvit intersection in Bangkok. The hotel features high-tech digital connectivity, modern design features and Carlson’s award winning customer service standards.

In-room amenities include free wireless high-speed internet, 32-inch LCD televisions with laptop connections and DVD player. Guest rooms feature an ergonomic chair, desktop reading lamp, spacious desktop workspace and international power connections. Free wireless internet and LAN connectivity is also available in all public areas of the hotel.

“Business and leisure travellers demand convenience, connectivity and stylish surroundings with service standards that exceed expectations,” said Magne Hansen, general manager. “The Park Plaza Sukhumvit Bangkok guarantees all of these essentials for a superlative business or leisure stay in the centre of Bangkok.”

The emphasis on style, comfort and convenience is also apparent in the CO2 (Café On 2), which offers a chic restaurant and a contemporary bar with a club-like ambience. Guests can also retreat to the rooftop of the 15-storey Park Plaza Sukhumvit to work out in the gym, take a swim in the sky pool or enjoy a snack or drink on the al fresco patio overlooking Benjakitti Park.
