Airlines back White House holiday efforts

The Air Transport Association of America has issued a statement backing the White House announcement on actions to reduce air travel delays and improve customer service over the Thanksgiving holiday period.The statement reads:

“We share the administration’s frustrations and applaud the efforts of President Bush, the Department of Transportation and the Department of Defense for the numerous operational steps they are taking to improve air service and reduce delays,” said ATA President and CEO James C. May.

        With respect to chronically delayed flights, May added that airlines also share the president’s concerns.

 

“Airlines remain focused on improving the service that they provide to customers,” said May.
