Nok expands Thai network

Nok Air has launched flights from Don Muang airport, Bangkok to both Chiang Rai and Ubon Rachathani.

Nok Air now operates two daily flights from Bangkok (Don Mueang) to Chiang Rai, and Bangkok (Don Mueang) to Ubon Rachathani, using a Boeing 737-400, with a capacity of up to 168 seats. These latest routes are the Nok Air’s 12th and 13th services in Thailand.

In celebration of the launch, Nok Air is extending a special THB 3 seat promotion for these two destinations until 12th October 2007, offering seats at 3 baht for Chiang Rai and Ubon Rachathani, subject to availability, and conditions apply (prices exclude airport tax, insurance, fuel surcharge and VAT). Nok Air’s passengers can also book their own favorite seats by using “Pre-seat assignment” service.

“We are very excited about adding Chiang Rai and Ubon Rachathani as our latest destinations, which now spreads our Nok service to all major destinations in Thailand,” said Patee Sarasin, Nok Air’s CEO. “With these two new wonderful cities now on the Nok map, we have come very close to achieving one of our aims, which is to take Thais to see the beauty of their country, to see families and family members that they haven’t seen in years, to allow Thais to travel long distances quickly and comfortably, and to do all this at prices that all can afford.”

Nok Air offers 5 daily flights to Chiang Mai, up to 4 daily flights to Hat Yai and Nakhon Si Thammarat, 3 daily flights to Udon Thani and Phuket, 2 daily flights to Krabi, a daily flight to Trang, 2 flights per week to Loei on every Friday and Sunday, and a daily flight between Phuket and Hat Yai. Nok Air also operates an international daily flight to Bangalore, India, and the 2 newest daily flights to Chiang Rai and Ubon Rachathani.
