Austrian adds London City offering

Austrian Airlines is to incorporate London City Airport into its new flight schedule from 29th October 2007 onwards.Two flights per day will operate to London City Airport from Monday to Friday in future, complementing the existing five flights a day to and from London Heathrow. This will enable Austrian passengers to choose from up to seven flights a day to London.

Morning flights will take off from Vienna at 8.30 a.m. from Monday to Friday, arriving at London City Airport at 9.55 a.m., with evening services taking off from the Austrian capital at 6.05 p.m. and arriving at London City at 7.30 p.m.. Return flights will take off from London City Airport at 10.25 a.m. and arrive in Vienna at 1.40 p.m., with evening services taking off from London City at 8.00 p.m. and touching down in Vienna at 11.15 p.m.. The aircraft used will be a Fokker 70 which, similarly to the Fokker 100, was recently converted to provide greater legroom and levels of comfort as part of the Austrian Airlines quality offensive.

London City Airport is of particular interest to business travellers: centrally located at the heart of the financial district of the British capital, the airport enjoys highly efficient public transport links. Flight times are perfect for business travellers, who can fly comfortably and quickly to London in the early mornings and late evenings throughout the working week.
