Ji?’ Devát, Vice-President for Information Technology and Vice-Chairman of the Management Board of Czech Airlines, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of SITA. Ji?’ Devát will represent the member organisations from Central and Eastern Europe on the 31-member Board.  On 13 September, he will attend a meeting of the Board for the first time.

“A seat on the SITA Board is a confirmation of the leading role of CSA in Central and Eastern Europe.  Furthermore, it places us in a group of companies that has a significant impact on technological development in aviation, and which are innovating air carriage through information and communication technologies,” said Ji?’ Devát, with respect to his appointment.

In the aviation industry, SITA is always the first to introduce the various technological changes requested by supranational regulatory bodies, as well as any innovative trends in the industry.  With a CSA representative on the Board, Czech Airlines will be among the first to be informed about changes and trends, and will enjoy a more advantageous position for evaluating and implementing them.
