Bumrats embraces Myspace

26th Jun 2007

BumRats.com is a new breed of internet travel agency placing its customers at its core allowing them to review, share experiences and upload photographs and videos directly through the BumRats forums and blogs social networking.

“Most travel agencies choose to ignore the ‘Myspacers”, says Ivan Tobias, Founder of BumRats, “basically, they’re scared of them. Giving customers the power to say what they like about you to new potential customers is a scary prospect but customers want to know about other peoples experiences. It’s the look before you leap syndrome that’s taking over the travel industry.”

BumRats is also becoming an ethical business and plan to give back 10% of all net profits to Eastern European cities such as Prague and Bratislava to help preserve the cultural identity of the area.
