Qantas starts San Fran, Vancouver service

Qantas Airways inaugurates its annual peak period seasonal non-stop flights between San Francisco and Vancouver, Canada. Offering internationally renowned in-flight service for travel between the U.S. and Canada, the seasonal service operates on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays between June 13 and August 12, 2007, and also during the holiday period from December 16, 2007 to January 27, 2007.

QF Flight 73 departs San Francisco at 12:15 p.m. and arrives in Vancouver at 2:25 p.m., on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. QF Flight 74 departs Vancouver at 6:20 p.m. arriving in San Francisco at 8:40 p.m. this summer. Adding more than 1,000 seats weekly, these international flights offer unmatched comfort, convenience and flexibility on Boeing 747-400 aircraft. Vancouver passengers bound for Australia can take advantage of same plane service onward to Sydney, Australia via the San Francisco gateway.

Like all Qantas Airways transpacific flights, the seasonal non-stop service includes complimentary meals, bar service and award winning in-flight entertainment featuring personal seat-back TV screens in all classes with over 400 choices on demand. Qantas is scheduled to be the first airline to fly the Airbus A380 aircraft from the N.A. to Australia in the last quarter of 2008.
