Northwest Airlines will resume daily nonstop
flights between its Detroit WorldGateway hub and the Greater Peoria
Regional Airport this summer.Two daily roundtrip flights will be
offered beginning August 21.

  “This new jet service to the Land of Lincoln provides additional
air service options we believe will have great appeal to local
customers and visitors,” said Tom Bach, vice president of network
planning and revenue management. “Central Illinois customers traveling
through our Detroit WorldGateway will enjoy convenient connections to
destinations throughout North America, Europe and Asia.”

  The additional service to the Greater Peoria Regional Airport will
complement three daily flights Northwest currently offers between
Peoria and its Minneapolis/St. Paul hub.
