Clickair gets new inflight mag

Ink Publishing is launching the new inflight magazine for clickair, the new Spanish airline based in Barcelona that combines the price competitiveness of low-cost carriers with many of the features of conventional airlines. With content produced in English and Spanish, the first issue of the bi-monthly publication, titled clickmagazine, will be onboard planes as of 11 July, 2007. Ink’s burgeoning portfolio now includes 26 inflight magazines produced in 13 languages.

clickair started operations in October 2006 and is a modern carrier with a service culture. The airline meets the needs of a new generation of business and leisure travellers providing point to point daily flights to 45 Spanish and European destinations from Barcelona, La Coruna, Malaga, Valencia and Seville. Its rapidly expanding network will grow to 70 routes by the end of 2008, with a forecasted 10 million passengers.

Simon Leslie, Ink Publishing Group Publishing Director, said: “We’re looking forward to producing an outstanding title for clickair that will provide huge value to advertisers looking to get their message in front of their massive audience of urban and sophisticated business and leisure travellers. As the vast majority of passengers are Spanish, aged 25-45, advertising in clickmagazine will be an extremely effective way to target this highly desirable demographic with laser focus, meaning little to no advertising wastage.”

Michael Keating, Ink Publishing Group Editorial Director, commented: “Each issue is packed full of engaging, relevant and entertaining information about clickair destinations presented in an elegant and stylish format. Produced in Spanish and English, there is something for everyone, from the short-haul business traveller to those visiting friends and family.”

Keating continued: “clickmagazine appeals to an intelligent, savvy and international audience, whose interests include arts & culture, style, architecture & fashion, travel & lifestyle, food & drink, profiles, sport, technology, business & investment. There is a fast-paced front of book section that contains short news items, style tips, cultural events and mini profiles. The main feature-well includes quality, high-end articles that properly engage and hold readers attention throughout the flight.”
