CapStar Hotel Company has announced that Michele
Reing has joined the company as chief financial officer.Reing will oversee
property level and owner accounting, financial reporting, due diligence,
renovation and capital expenditure accounting and cash management.
  “Michele brings more than 15 years of experience in all aspects of
finance and accounting,” said Paul Whetsell, president and CEO of CapStar.
“She also has in-depth expertise in complex debt financings and has been
involved in almost $1 billion of hotel acquisitions, dispositions and
mergers.”
  Reing previously was vice president of finance for MeriStar Hospitality
Corporation. She represented the company in its acquisitions and
dispositions, worked on two proposed and one actual merger, created an
internal audit department, and directed the company’s accounting and
financial reporting, including property accounting for more than 100
properties, corporate general accounting, SEC reporting, and construction
accounting.
  Most recently, Reing was vice president and corporate controller at
Analex Corporation, where her responsibilities included oversight of a
20-person accounting department, SEC reporting, and compliance with
establishing and monitoring a system of adherence to Analex’s internal
control policies. Reing holds a Bachelor’s of Science in accounting from
the University of Maryland, College Park.
