Troubled JetBlue replaces CEO

11th May 2007

The founder of JetBlue has been removed from his post as CEO following February’s costly service disruption when the company was forced to cancel more than 1,000 flights as a result of snow storms. The airline’s services ground to a halt after a storm in New York, and this left customers and flight crews stranded.

JetBlue said David Neeleman will stay on as non-executive chairman and take on a more strategic role.

The companies head of operations, Dave Barger will take over, effective immediately.
