SITA and Servisair forge partnership

SITA and Servisair have announced a working
partnership between the two companies to provide ground airport services in Europe
and North America for 20 million passengers annually. The partnership will see Servisair benefiting from SITA’s Horizon portfolio in 30
locations in Europe and North America. The agreement includes use of the SITA DCS
(Departure Control Services) along with e-ticketing and web check-in applications,
Advance Passenger Information System (APIS) processing and network connectivity.

The PassengerHandler common language facility provided as part of the SITA DCS
solution will help Servisair to deliver faster check-in services to new airline
customers and to offer improved levels of service.  The SITA DCS will operate across
a number of existing airport common-use check-in applications, including SITA’s
CUTE (Common Use Terminal Equipment) solution and other third party applications.

SITA’s Horizon is a technologically advanced solution which will provide airlines
and airports with an extensive range of seamlessly integrated services essential to
the optimisation of their IT capacity and to improve information sharing across
business units in real-time.  The e-ticketing component will support airline efforts
to meet the IATA’s 2007 deadline for the elimination of paper tickets as part of
the global IATA Simplifying the Business (StB) initiative.

it comes on stream.

delighted to have signed this new agreement with SITA and we look forward to further
developing our close working partnership. SITA has proven to be very responsive and
we believe that SITA self-service and other applications will allow us to offer a
new and differentiated service to our airline customers across a large number of
airports around the world, both now and in the future.”

Rob Watkins, SITA Regional Vice President for Northern Europe, “We are proud to be
working with a leader in ground handling and to manage such a large proportion of
the airline passengers handled by Servisair.

“SITA’s tailored solution will deliver economic and operational improvements
over the next five years and we look forward to the next phase of the development
when we will implement new passenger processing applications for Servisair.”
