Budget travel blog launches in Europe

EuroCheapo is launching its budget travel blog, as the company continues expanding and diversifying its European travel content. Travel journalist Alex Robertson Textor has been named EuroCheapo’s Blog Editor.

EuroCheapo’s blog aims to keep travel enthusiasts up to date and informed on all facets of European budget travel, whether they’re planning a trip, currently on a trip, or “just staying informed” about what’s happening around the globe.

The blog’s 10-15 daily dispatches are filed by EuroCheapo’s Europe-based correspondents and in-house editors. Posts cover a wide variety of topics of interest to travelers, including practical budget tips, local restaurant recommendations, budget airline and transportation deals, and museum and event reviews. EuroCheapo’s readers are able to post comments, subscribe to RSS feeds, and register to receive daily email summaries of blog posts.

“Our goal is to be the most reliable and resourceful blog for people traveling around Europe on a budget,” said Alex Robertson Textor, EuroCheapo Blog Editor.  “The correspondents we have throughout Europe are expert travel writers and will provide an invaluable local perspective for budget travelers everywhere.”

For the launch of the blog, EuroCheapo recruited more than a dozen correspondents based in European cities, including Athens, Berlin, Budapest, Florence, London, Madrid, Paris, Rome, and Vienna.  EuroCheapo’s blog staff also includes Alexander Basek, who previously served as Editor of the pop culture travel guide Jaunted, and Jessica Gearhart, Editor of London-based Stylebible.com.
