Laterooms launches miniBreaks site

LateRooms.com has appointed James Pogson to head its new online travel solution, miniBreaks.com.

Pogson has extensive experience within the hotel sector and was previously Director of Distribution at Choice Hotels Europe and Head of e-Commerce at Moat House Hotels. He will be responsible for leading the launch and development of miniBreaks, which is due to be released in Spring 2007.

Building on the success of LateRooms.com, miniBreaks will enable customers to book an experience-specific break or create a bespoke stay in a preferred destination.

“In response to demand from both customers and property owners, miniBreaks will be organically developed, providing flexibility, unique choice and activity-related getaways to help select the best short break.” said James Pogson, head of miniBreaks.com, “We have recognised the market is looking for more than just competitive pricing. After launching miniBreaks in the Spring, we will continue to evolve content and build partnerships to satisfy our customers’ needs”.

“James understands not only the hotel industry, but also customer behaviour, distribution and the specifics of online booking, which is increasingly becoming the mode of choice for those looking for a quick weekend away,” said Chris Allen, CEO, LateRooms.com. “miniBreaks complements LateRooms perfectly giving our customers an additional choice of product, experience and value proposition.”
