Swiss hotel launches snow golf championship

“We offer participants a combination of fun and comfort”, explains project leader Christine Schack. To play golf in the snow - this is a special event even for golf pros.

From March 23rd to 29th, an official snow golf championship will be taking place for the first time. For this premiere, the organiser, the International Snow Golf Association (ISNGA), has chosen an exclusive ambience: the Grand Hotel Bellevue in Gstaad, Switzerland. This 5-star luxury hotel, with 57 modern designed rooms and suites, offers everything that the golfer heart desires.

Participants can familiarize themselves with the conditions on the course on the day of their arrival by playing a snow golf warm-up round - and of course, also experience the conveniences of the hotel. Because those who do sport should also relax! A top-class wellness and spa-centre guarantee relaxation with Asian massages, thalassic treatments, vital and relax baths, sauna, steam baths and pool. Culinary refinement is offered by exquisite restaurants with a sun-terrace.

“The most special thing about this golf event is the unique combination of luxurious living, skiing, dog-sled and hot-air balloon rides, and of course, the opportunity to become the first snow golf champion 2007”, says Christine Schack, director of the responsible travel business BESTWORLDWIDE.

Actually, the participants enjoy a rare privilege: for the duration of the tournament, the whole mountain, the mountain railway, the golf course and the mountain chalet Wispile are exclusively available to our guests! In addition, a ski instructor is available at anytime upon request.

We have also arranged for high spirits with the “Swiss-Players-Night Party”. For the après-ski in the mountain chalet, a Swiss folk-music band will be creating a great atmosphere, so that the final round on March 24th can end in beauty. A festive 5-course gala dinner will be the highlight and dazzling conclusion of the tournament and the award ceremony will follow on March 25th. Every participant will receive a certificate form the ISNGA.

In the following days, the golfers can continue to enjoy all leisure time facilities as mentioned, besides the fantastic mountain scenery. March 29th is departure day, and extension days can be additionally booked.

The entry fee will be donated to the children’s cancer clinic in Zurich.
