Cheapflights appoints technology boss

Chris Martin has joined Cheapflights as Chief Technology Officer with effect from 29th January 2007.
Based in London, Chris will report directly to Chris Cuddy, Cheapflights’ Group Managing Director. Chris brings to Cheapflights over twenty years of experience in leading consumer-focused technology teams. He is ideally suited to lead the next stage of Cheapflights’ technology and international growth.
Most recently, Chris was CTO of eBuyer.com, a leading UK ecommerce web site, where he was responsible for all technical aspects of the business.
Prior to eBuyer, Chris led Production and Development for AskJeeves.com in Europe, a leading internet search site. Over a five year period, Chris implemented the technologies and systems to support the Company’s operations in the UK and in several European countries.
Prior to that, Chris was CTO for Orchestream plc, a network bandwidth management innovator where he built the team, led development of leading edge products, and set up the company infrastructure across the UK and US offices.
Chris was CTO for Orchestream plc, a network bandwidth management innovator, before which he spent eight years at IBM in a variety of software technology roles. Chris earned his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Computer Science from BrunelUniversity.
