bmi accelerates BA plans

bmi is accelerating contingency
plans to enable the airline carry any passengers that are caught up in
the threatened industrial action and disruption to BA services on the
30th and 31st January.The placing of larger aircraft on existing routes has already created
hundreds of extra seats per day on flights to Edinburgh and Glasgow,
with others routes likely to follow. bmi is also planning to increase
the frequency of flights as and when take-off and landing slots are
released following the announcement by BA of the cancellation of all its
flights next Tuesday and Wednesday.

Meanwhile easyJet is reminding passengers that it still has
over 8,000 seats available on a choice of 37 routes from its Gatwick
base on Tuesday 30 - Wednesday 31 January.
