Spirit makes new offering for Costa Rica

Spirit Airlines has announced a new nonstop service between its Fort Lauderdale hub and San Jose, Costa Rica beginning April this year. Service will initially be offered three times weekly on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays increasing to daily service by May 23, 2007.

San Jose, Costa Rica is Spirit’s 16th destination in Latin America and the Caribbean and 33rd overall. Costa Rica will be Spirit’s first Central American country served.

In addition to nonstop service from its Fort Lauderdale hub, Spirit will also offer connecting service to San Jose, Costa Rica from its domestic network. Spirit serves all routes with its fleet of Airbus aircraft, the youngest in the Americas.
