Langham inks deal with TravelClick

Langham Hotels International has announced a major initiative to improve online business by partnering with TravelClick.LHI will implement TravelClick’s iHotelier Central Reservation System to centralise the web reservations for Langham’s luxury hotel portfolio worldwide.

The deal is a strategic move to support LHI’s plan to strengthen its direct online distribution channel.  iHotelier’s state-of-the-art booking engine will power the room reservation functions of LHI’s websites by creating an easy-to-use and interactive booking environment.  Langham guests can now enjoy greater ease and flexibility when making real-time bookings on iHotelier’s one-screen graphic-rich platform.

This interactive shopping experience will be taken one step further by iStay, the next-generation of TravelClick’s booking engine, with the additional Flash technology and extra rich digital content.  Guests will also have a wider selection of hotel amenities and services at the time of booking, thus enabling them to customise their stay through add-ons and upgrades.  These advanced functionalities will not only boost LHI’s online bookings, but will also improve revenue per stay by generating higher conversion rate and encouraging up-selling, benefiting both the guest and the Hotel.

“iHotelier makes online bookings much easier for our guests.  With a single click, room availability and rates are displayed clearly on one screen with captivating photography of our hotels.  It is a powerful tool to differentiate Langham in the e-market,” said Brett Butcher, Senior Vice President - Sales & Marketing of Langham Hotels International.  “With iHotelier’s powerful platform and our enhanced e-distribution strategy, Langham Hotels and affiliate Hotels like the Eaton Hotel, Hong Kong will achieve 10% of all our room revenue being booked through our own web site in 2007.  This will grow to 30% by the end of the decade making the Hotel booking portal the most important distribution channel for our hotels”.

iHotelier will be implemented on the websites of LHI’s six hotels in London, Boston, Hong Kong, Melbourne and Auckland, as well as its affiliate property - Eaton Hotel Hong Kong.
