Lufthansa is to hire 3,000 new workers in 2007. The airline told the Associated Press that most of the new employees would be hired in Germany and a spokesman confirmed a report in the newspaper Bild regarding plans to recruit 1,200 cabin crew, 800 ground staff and 240 trainee pilots.
Some 2,000 of the new jobs will be based at the company’s main hubs in Frankfurt and Munich.
