Manama’s largest spa planned

National Hotels Company is planning to open its $4.5 million spa in Manama next year.
The state-of-the-art spa, at the Diplomat Radisson SAS Residence, is due to open later this month, adjacent to the existing 246-room, five star Diplomat Radisson SAS Hotel. The hotel, residence and spa are owned by National Hotels Company.

“The Diplomat Spa is being developed in conjunction with one of the Far East’s top spas and is a key project for us. We anticipate it will draw guests from throughout the Middle East,” said A. Rahman Morshed, General Manager, National Hotels Company.

The new spa will have a separate male spa, a ladies-only indoor pool, 11 female treatment rooms, six men’s treatment rooms, three outdoor pools, a 280 metre feature lagoon pool, state-of-the-art male and female gymnasiums, sophisticated steam and sauna rooms, jacuzzi and cold pool facilities, an open-air tennis court and two indoor squash courts.

“We will employ 20 Thai therapists who will help develop special treatments and products and we will also be appointing a world-class recreation director who will oversee day-to-day running of the spa and gym,” said Radek Cais, General Manager, The Diplomat Radisson SAS Hotel, Residence and Spa.

“The therapists will be trained in Radisson SAS corporate values including our ‘Yes I Can!’ spirit of service and 100% guest satisfaction guarantee.”
