SriLankan Airlines is posting its full duty free product range online,
at www.srilanka.aero, giving passengers the convenience of pre-booking
their duty-free items on the Internet.The new on-line catalogue will allow SriLankan Airlines’ passengers to
browse and order duty free items from the comfort of their homes, and
then pay and collect their pre-booked duty free products on board.

The service enables the airline to provide the merchandise passengers
want, ensuring their choice of duty free items is waiting for them.

 

“We have limited storage space on board and can only carry part of our
inventory. Offering a pre-booking service allows passengers to relax on
their journey knowing that the product they desire is available,” said
Nigel O`Shea, Head Of Service Delivery.

 

Orders can be placed up to 48 hours before each flight.

 

Over 170 world renowned products, including a range of spirits,
cigarettes, perfumes, jewellery and watches are offered. A collection of
Sri Lankan handicrafts are also available through the duty free
catalogue.

 

The SriLankan Airlines duty free catalogue is updated regularly to
include the latest products from the worlds’ leading brands and fashion
houses.

 

The catalogue also carries a number of exclusive products, including a
collection of exquisite jewellery, SriLankan Airlines branded
merchandise and a variety of Sri Lankan souvenirs sourced from local
craftsmen.

 

“While stocking up on the famous brands, SriLankan Airlines also
supports local arts and crafts. Our collection of Sri Lankan souvenirs
comes from craftsmen residing in backwater villages and with little
access to the global market,” Said Jehan Karunaratne, Manager Inflight
Service Support. “We are happy to give them such opportunities through
our duty free catalogue.”

 

Passengers pre-ordering over US$ 70 worth of items will also receive a
complimentary gift courtesy of SriLankan Airlines.
