Lime Tree Bay Resort gets modernisation

Savvy travelers and sophisticated buyers will have the opportunity to experience ultimate luxury in architecturally unique surroundings at Lime Tree Bay Resort and Residences.  Victor Bubnow, owner of the current hotel located on the site, came to the conclusion that something innovative and dramatic had to be done in order to meet the demands of ever-changing and discerning consumers.  Bubnow decided to start from scratch to introduce the tropical modern design of Lime Tree Bay Resort and Residences. A team of visionary developers, globally-renowned architects, and sophisticated designers are collaborating to make Lime Tree Bay a residential resort worthy of its unparalleled tropical setting.

“No matter how many times we renovated, redecorated and refreshed, we realized it would never be enough,” stated Mr. Bubnow.  “Consumers have come to expect a higher standard and we are raising the bar with this new development.”
Lime Tree Bay Resort and Residences will be situated along a quarter-mile of scenic waterfront on Long Key and feature just 45 elegantly-crafted residences designed by award-winning architects Jacqueline Gonzalez Touzet and Carlos Prio-Touzet.  Ms. Touzet was recently awarded the “Young Architect of the Year” for 2006 by the Miami American Institute of Architects.  Amenities that will make Lime Tree Bay “the” place in the Keys will include two large swimming pools, a peaceful hammock grove, a fishing pier, a clubhouse with library and private bar and a waterfront massage area.  The clubhouse will offer a fitness center and wide, wrap around verandas, perfect for sunset cocktails.

“We are eager to bring a tropical modern style of architecture to the Keys,” states Jacqueline Gonzalez Touzet. “The open design of the units and direct access to the large outdoor living spaces allows people to really enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings, which to us, is one of the primary reasons why people want to live in the Keys.  We have created an architecture that is environmentally responsive, yet also offers resort-level amenities and comfort. We are also proud that the project employs the highest standards of construction, beautiful materials and attention to detailing - which to us is the real definition of luxury”.

Each residence will boast panoramic waterfront views, spacious deck areas, WI-FI high speed Internet access and widescreen plasma TVs.  Kitchens will be finely appointed with European exotic wood cabinetry, quartz and velvet finish granite counter tops, while master baths will feature rainfall showers, oversized built-in tubs with garden views and Kohler Purist fixtures.  Some residences will even feature plunge pools and private elevators. Off-site activities highlight the natural surroundings and include snorkeling, diving and guided fishing excursions.
