RCI has struck a deal with Dolphin Dynamics, providers of specialist software to the travel industry, which will see Dolphin’s technology deployed to streamline RCI’s sales processes and increase productivity.
Using TravelScanner, Dolphin Dynamics’ next generation point of sale system and its leading mid/back office system Travel Manager, the deal will unify all of RCI’s systems on a single platform enabling RCI staff to sell and fulfil travel products more effectively.
Dolphin TravelScanner and Dolphin Travel Manager will deliver unprecedented automation to various aspects of RCI’s business, including the UK call centre. The deal will unify all of RCI’s travel selling systems, as well as mid and back office, on a single platform.
TravelScanner is a browser-based point of sale system which has been built upon Dolphin’s popular FlightScanner system and seamlessly integrates with Travel Manager. This completely integrated solution facilitates the selling process of both air and non-air products through a combination of locally hosted inventory and dynamic XML interfaces to Galileo, low cost and Charter carriers, insurance and car rental.
TravelScanner provides users with a single application merging front, mid and back office functions to search and book products as well as perform CRM, payment collection, document production, workflow management and Quality Control. Because all of these traditionally disparate activities now take place in one system, even non travel specialists quickly achieve breakthrough levels of productivity with very little training required.
TravelScanner also integrates with Dolphin’s sophisticated new Pricing Engine which dynamically analyses product details and applies markups, commissions and fees to the total holiday price according to pre-configured rules thus facilitating margin control, dynamic pricing and directional selling.
