EL AL reduces fuel surcharge

EL AL, Israel’s national airline, is offering excellent value to passengers traveling to Israel this post holiday season for tickets purchased between November 6 and November 23, 2006.Due to a decrease in oil prices, EL AL is lowering its wintertime fares from more than 25 cities in the U.S.A. for travel January 1 - March 25, 2007.

Reduced roundtrip airfares from the U.S.A. to Israel are $735 nonstop from New York (JFK/Newark); $765 on the only direct flights from Chicago to Israel; $935 on the only nonstop service between Miami and Tel Aviv; and $1,035 on the only nonstop flights between Los Angeles and Tel Aviv.

EL AL is also offering spectacular roundtrip winter fares when traveling from many more cities in the U.S.A. to Israel during the same time period. The low fare of $747 is available when departing from Boston, Baltimore, Pittsburgh and Washington, D.C.; $847 when traveling from Atlanta, Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Detroit and Kansas City; $947 when departing from Denver, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Houston, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Orlando, Phoenix, San Antonio, St. Louis and Tampa; $1,047 when traveling from Las Vegas, Seattle, San Francisco and Salt Lake City. Included in these special fares are flights from each of the above cities on a leading domestic carrier, which connect to an EL AL flight to Israel.

From the U.S.A., EL AL’s winter schedule includes 26 weekly flights (22 of which are nonstop). The carrier offers 17 weekly nonstop flights from New York (JFK and Newark), the only nonstop flights from Miami (Tuesday afternoon and Saturday evening), and the only nonstop service from Los Angeles to Israel (Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday). EL AL also operates direct flights, with no change of plane, four times a week from Chicago (Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday).
