Thomas Cook takes on new plane

With the delivery of its third Airbus A330-200 in November, Thomas Cook Airlines UK has taken the opportunity to revise its winter flying schedules to optimise efficiency and economy. The size of the fleet will remain the same at 24 aircraft, but one of four Airbus A320s currently operating will be returned 12 months early with the full agreement of the leasing company.

The move will not affect the winter capacity of Thomas Cook Airlines because the existing flight patterns can be accommodated on the remaining fleet.  Commercially, it will enable the airline to achieve the highest possible yield and margin ratios from its aircraft. Thomas Cooks winter fleet will comprise of: three A320s, 16 B757-200s, three A 330s and two B757-300s.
