The Leading Hotels of the World, Ltd. has begun preparation for the massive global migration to a CRS developed by TRUST International, following an extensive evaluation of the current technology and service providers. The company conducted several in-depth focus groups with management personnel from members of The Leading Hotels of the World, to review the TRUST Voyager CRS.
The overwhelming consensus was that the system offered superior functionality for building and updating rates online, and that the highly integrated and user-friendly distribution platform was ideal to meet the needs of a geographically diverse group of hotels.
The cutover is scheduled for November 30, 2006, after which time all member hotels will use the same reservations platform to control all distribution systems and channels managed by The Leading Hotels of the World, Ltd. This state-of-the-art technology will enhance the competitive position of Leading Hotels, the foremost luxury hotel brand, and will enable each hotel to immediately implement new marketing programs on a global basis.
At the same time, the voice reservations operation for the United States, Canada, Bermuda and the Caribbean will be relocated from Scottsdale, Arizona, to Winter Park, Florida.

From now through November, the company is engaged in an intensive program to train its more than 430 member hotels on the new system, an effort being spear-headed by Mr. Joe Opp, senior vice president, membership services, from the New York headquarters.

A global team of 10 regional account managers and directors will be conducting comprehensive two-day courses at venues in 38 cities. Each member hotel will send two employees from their front-of-house teams for these courses, resulting in the training of more than 900 individuals.
Hoteliers from around the world will travel to the new center to train the staff on their hotels and their geographic regions, thus ensuring that all clients are afforded the highest level of service. The current toll-free reservations numbers will remain the same, and all travel agents utilizing the GDS will continue to use the LW code for processing reservations through seamless connectivity.
