LAB bounces back to Europe

LAB Airlines of Bolivia are restarting direct scheduled services from
Madrid to Bolivia from August 25th. Initially operating every Monday and Thursday, the frequency is likely to be increased to three a week from early September.

The re-introduction of this 309 seater, L10-11 Tristar
service coincides with the delivery of a Boeing 767-200 aircraft which will be used on international services between Bolivia and the United States.

A spokeman for LAB said ” This is great news! LAB is one of the world’s oldest airlines and last year we celebrated our 80th birthday, but 2006 has been difficult for us. Our European connections are very important both to
the airline and to the tourism industry of Bolivia. We apologise to those
passengers who have suffered during this temporary break in our Madrid
service, but are now looking forward to welcoming UK and European
passengers back on board.”
