InterContinental has appointed Christian Pertl as the group’s new Director of Sales and Marketing for the three upcoming properties at Dubai Festival City - InterContinental, Crowne Plaza and InterContinental Residence and Suites.Of Austrian origin, Pertl brings over 13 years of hospitality experience to his new role, having over 8 years experience with the group.
Beginning his career as a Chef de Partie in Lech/Arlberg, Pertl spent the first 7 years of his career in Austria working his way up to the position of Corporate Sales Manager.
His most recent position was as Area Director of Sales & Marketing for Austrian and Slovakian hotels including InterContinental, Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn brands.
His main focus was increasing the hotels’ revenue as well as improving the productivity from both corporate and leisure segments, developing and implementing region advertising campaigns.
