Galileo extends Travel Counsellors deal

Galileo is signing a new agreement with long standing customer Travel Counsellors.

The renewed agreement confirms Travel Counsellors’ commitment to the Galileo GDS.  Content will be provided by Gullivers Travel Associates (GTA) the world’s leading wholesaler of ground travel products and services, and one of the Travelport portfolio of companies.  Accommodation and transfers will be available through Phenix, Travel Counsellor’s in-house dynamic packaging system. In addition, Travel Counsellors will be taking advantage of Galileo’s value added components, increasing efficiencies for both its counsellors and Head Office based staff.

Galileo’s value-added services which Travel Counsellors will be using include:

ClickPoint - New Point and Click technology to enable a faster booking process

E-Tracker - Enables TC’s to track unused E-Tickets and provide an enhanced customer service experience

Galileo Interactive Data Source - GIDS - Provides enhanced reporting opportunities using live data

Galileo Web Services - This will power published and private Fare content into the Phenix system

“We are delighted that Travel Counsellors has extended its agreement with us,” says Patrick Lukan, Country Manager UK, Galileo by Travelport. “We are committed to offering all our customers the most advanced tools we can, allowing them to provide an exemplary service to their clients. With this new contract we can continue to provide Travel Counsellors with the excellent services they have come to expect from us.”
