Virgin Atlantic is pleased to announce the launch of the world’s first ever route - dedicated inflight magazine, DXB.This monthly publication, which
has been produced exclusively for Virgin Atlantic, is now available to all
passengers onboard the airline’s flights between London Heathrow and Dubai.
Published by Hot Media and written by a team of local journalists, DXB aims
to give Virgin Atlantic’s passengers an uncensored insider’s guide to the best shops, restaurants, bars, clubs and activities the city has to offer.
Dedicated editorial sections target all passengers including those on business, families with children, holidaymakers and those looking to buy a property. DXB will also include an abundance of vouchers offering generous
discounts on everything from dinners to dune buggies in Dubai to ensure
that Virgin Atlantic passengers get the best deals. Monthly events coming up in the city will also be previewed. Lysette Gauna, Head of Media for Virgin Atlantic, said:
“We are delighted to introduce DXB, which is the world’s first destination specific inflight magazine. We are sure that Virgin Atlantic passengers will benefit from the insiders knowledge that DXB has to offer and enjoy the host of vouchers to make their trip to Dubai even better value!”
Victoria Hazell, Commercial Director of Hot Media, commented:
“As the Middle East’s first boutique contract publishing agency we are thrilled to be working with Virgin Atlantic on this new concept. We believe that the launch of DXB marks a new era in inflight magazines, offering passengers targeted, useful information about their trip instead of the usual generic lifestyle features.
Virgin has also been nominated this year for a
World Travel Award as World’s Leading Airline for In-Flight Entertainment.
