Renaming for Peninsula Palace Beijing

The Peninsula Palace Beijing will be officially renamed The Peninsula Beijing, while the Chinese name will become ” Wang Fu Ban Dao Jiu Dian” (Palace Peninsula Hotel).Previously known as The Peninsula Palace Beijing in English and “Wang Fu Fan Dian” (Palace Hotel) in Chinese and following the recent US$35 million renovation, the name change in both languages now clarifies that the hotel is indeed part of The Peninsula Hotels and is among the very best hotels in Beijing.

Since its opening in 1989, The Peninsula Beijing’s Chinese name “王府 Wang Fu” (Palace) has always enjoyed very strong brand awareness throughout China. The addition of “Ban Dao” (Peninsula) now clearly aligns the Chinese name with The Peninsula Hotels worldwide.

The new name will also create synergy and assist in awareness of the new Peninsula Shanghai, scheduled to open in 2009.

The Peninsula Beijing offers the perfect blend of sophistication and innovation.

Enjoy newly redesigned guestrooms, award-winning western cuisine at Jing, the superb Cantonese delicacies of Huang Ting and unsurpassed levels of personalised service synonymous with The Peninsula name for over 75 years.
