Kenya tourism boosted by rains

The Kenya Tourism Board (KTB) has reported a strong performance for 2005 with a recorded growth of 52 percent, and revenues increasing from $358 to $552 million. International arrivals were also up by 18.7 percent.
KTB expects the positive trends to continue this year and stated that the resumption of rains would also boost tourism and that visitors are no longer deterred by the impact of the drought has brought to the national parks.
