San Francisco gets JW Mariott

The Pan Pacific Hotel in San Francisco has become the JW Marriott Hotel San Francisco and will undergo an extensive multi-mullion-dollar renovation over the next two years.The 338-room luxury hotel, managed by Marriott International, is the first JW Marriott in Northern California and the 36th in a collection of exclusive JW Marriott hotels and resorts worldwide.

The 21-story hotel was designed by world renowned architect John C. Portman, and features Italian marble throughout, prominent arches and a dramatic atrium. The interior is decorated in sophisticated colors, combining clean architectural lines with subtle Asian accents. Guest rooms are elegantly appointed and overlook San Francisco’s diverse cityscape. JW Marriott’s new, luxurious bedding will leave guests revived, with plusher mattresses, softer sheets, more pillows and a down comforter nestled inside sheeted duvets. Other in-room amenities include high-speed internet access, Herman Miller Aeron ergonomic desk chair, Bose Wave radios, Gateway LCD flat screen televisions, oversized marble bathrooms with hair dryer and a robe, coffee and tea service, iron and ironing board, and in-room safe and mini-bar.

Situated on the fashionable Post Street at Union Square among a myriad of premier retail and shopping destinations, the JW Marriott San Francisco is adjacent to the city’s financial district, Chinatown and within walking distance to the Moscone Convention Center, Nob Hill, downtown San Francisco, the Embarcadero Center and the cable cars. The property is within 17 miles of San Francisco International Airport and provides convenient access to many nearby attractions, including the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Fisherman’s Wharf, Yerba Buena Gardens, the Ferry Building and AT&T Stadium.
