Amadeus is entering into an exclusive partnership with Greenville-based 10Best to provide its travel agent customers with top-rated destination information and bookable content. The partnership enables Amadeus to integrate 10Best’s content into the Amadeus Selling Platform (Vista) desktop, offering agents in the U.S. and Canada the ability to provide their customers with objective recommendations for local travel and leisure options and bookable events tailored by destination.

10Best provides travel guides highlighting a city’s top sights, hotels, restaurants, clubs and shops as well as bookable content, such as tickets for concerts, sporting events, sightseeing tours and ground transportation.

Amadeus travel agent customers will be able to easily access all 10Best destination content directly on the Amadeus Selling Platform desktop through a new “smart tab.” An agent merely clicks on the 10Best icon on the desktop and begins the turnkey process of accessing travel and leisure information and bookable products based on the customers chosen destination. Once the agent is inside the 10Best smart tab on the desktop, he or she can choose from a wealth of recommendations and options that they can personalize for their customer as a value-added service.
When booking 10Best’s content, agents will be eligible for commissions of up to five percent. Commissionable transactions are managed directly by 10Best and can be integrated into the agent’s back office accounting systems for commission tracking and reporting purposes.
Amadeus plans to integrate 10Best destination content into Amadeus’ corporate online booking tool, Amadeus e-Travel Management. Planned features include the ability to provide business travelers with one-stop shopping access to destination content. Information from select listings and reservations can be text-messaged to the traveler’s mobile device, and content is stored in the traveler’s trip summary in Amadeus e-Travel Management for future reference.
